About Subsidies.co.za

A free way to find support worth checking.

Subsidies.co.za brings fragmented South African grants, UIF benefits, study funding and municipal help into one simple starting point.

The short version

Independent information, not a government decision.

The finder first builds a shortlist. A separate detailed programme check can evaluate released rules and point people to the responsible authority. The service cannot approve an application, access a government record or guarantee support.

01

What we are building

A South African support finder: circumstances in, a short list of possible programmes out, followed by the documents, official route and known limits that matter.

02

Who operates it

Subsidies.co.za is independently operated. It does not publish a personal name or legal-entity name. That is a deliberate public-identity limit and should be considered when deciding how much weight to give the service.

03

How it is funded

The service is currently free and non-commercial. There are no paid rankings, application fees, affiliate placements or commissions from a successful claim. If that changes, the relationship must be disclosed where it affects a recommendation.

04

What we cover

The four-question finder uses discovery matching across SASSA, UIF, study funding and eight-metro bill help. Separate detailed eligibility checks cover 23 released SASSA, UIF and metro rules. Study funding has no released eligibility rule and remains discovery only. This is not yet a complete register of every South African support programme.

05

How answers are checked

Published rules keep official source links, retrieval dates, file fingerprints, review dates and regression examples. Missing or conflicting facts remain visible instead of being completed by an AI guess.

06

How to hold us accountable

Use the on-site report form if a date, amount, link or explanation looks wrong. A material error is checked against official evidence, corrected with the affected rule and retested before publication.
