Short answer

Employers, small businesses and entrepreneurs can apply through the Department of Employment and Labour’s UIF e-Compliance Certificate system using the employer’s UIF reference number. The Department says a compliant employer can download the certificate immediately; a non-compliant employer receives a letter explaining the reasons that must be corrected.
