Short answer

New applicants must be South African Unisa NQF level 7 alumni who complete their degree or advanced diploma by 31 January 2027 with at least a 60% overall average, or eligible second-year NQF level 8 students who passed at least three modules at 60%. Returning beneficiaries must have passed previously funded modules at a 50% average. Permanent Unisa staff, international students, excluded business programmes and applicants who already hold a postgraduate degree do not qualify.
