Short answer

Applicants normally need an Umalusi-issued NSC, IEB or SACAI result, first-time UP undergraduate registration directly after Grade 12 and an average of at least 80% across their six best subjects excluding Life Orientation. A one-year gap may be considered with an affidavit uploaded by the end of February, but prior tertiary registration excludes the student.
